The A76 is comfortable in size and has a nice feel to it. It’s not overly heavy and surprisingly slim, giving the phone a more luxurious look than the price suggests. The rear of this phone has a dull texture that truly shows little to no smudges. I received the black model (eventhough the light blue variant looks magnificent), and regardless of how many times I came in contact with it, fingerprints would not stick. If you’re seeking a fingerprint-less device coating–this is perfect. Nevertheless, even though it exudes magnificence, it feels a bit inexpensive and plastic-like. However, it comes with a clear jelly cover if you wish to protect the rear.
On the right side of the phone’s screen is a lock button, positioned in the middle, that features a fingerprint scanner. Right next to it are the volume buttons situated on the left side. Flip over your phone and you’ll spot a dual camera setup on the top left corner of your device, with a clean plain design.
OPPO has done an impressive job creating the A76, a phone that looks stunning and offers comfortable usage. The placement of the buttons is perfect – for instance, the fingerprint scanner on the lock button is easily reachable with my thumb, making unlocking effortless.
When it comes to phones at this price range, it is about the value you get for your money and if there are any additional features available. In my opinion, the OPPO A76 was a great purchase that had no issues dealing with my everyday needs.
The A76 houses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor and an Adreno GPU, along with a 90Hz refresh rate. This gave me a great experience no matter if I was going through social media or playing videos. Although it wasn’t the swiftest phone, it still operated fast enough so that I didn’t recognize any lagging. It may not be as responsive to touch like other devices, nor was scrolling via social media as quick or easy as on pricier models. There were moments of slow loading or crashing when an app was not updated, but this wasn’t frequent enough to be an issue or emotion-provoking in the slightest.
Out-of-doors photos are where the A76 excels. The colours are exact, though at times they may appear to be faint. I managed to take some tremendous shots in the fitting environment, but there were also moments when the results were a bit unsatisfying. As I was able to snap some portraits with good depth on the clouds, there were likewise occasions where it illuminated the sky in an effort to concentrate on other aspects of the image, or focused on the clouds and darkened the rest. Finding equilibrium for some of these pictures was hard. Optic quality is decent however inclined to blur and spotted with plenty of clamor, additionally the zoom scope is rather restricted.
Indoor images were satisfactory, yet the colors appear to be slightly faded and you may recognize some noise. It’s missing the lucidity and clarity that other phones possess due to their multiple rear lenses. There was a hope of better performance from the OPPO A76, given its two rear lenses and effectiveness of cameras in some cheaper versions of OPPO.
When researching the OPPO A76, you’ll need to buy the phone directly and combine it with a SIM-only plan. There are numerous options available to suit your varying needs: prepaid or postpaid, cheap plans with lots of data.
